Our Story

Mimi’s Productions started in 1999 as a one-stop shop for all anyone planning an event would need. It was Mimi’s dream to facilitate and deliver perfection on every event. Mimi reached for the stars and certainly delivered 5 Star service with her attention to detail. Of course, this could not have been made possible without her supporting cast. Her daughters Nataly, Nancy, and her son Jerry. This was very much a family operation. Everyone involved worked together and wore many hats providing support with all the services offered such as photography, videography, catering, DJ, decor, and choreography. The dedication to family and service made Mimi’s Productions a wonderful success!

It’s easy to see how such a strong and dedicated woman emerged as a pillar for event services in the Austin community and surrounding areas. You would be surprised to know that before Mimi’s Productions was booking event after event, Mimi was a very dedicated City of Austin maternity counselor specializing in postpartum training for new mothers. She truly enjoyed her work and certainly was fulfilled giving back to her community the best way she knew how. Being a single mother of 3 herself, she dedicated herself to building success for her family, and after many years of event after event and seeing her kids one by one leave the nest, Mimi decided to take a break.

After some time had passed, Nataly, the eldest of the 3, took the reins and decided she would continue to build on the strong foundation Mimi had built with Mimi’s Productions. To pay homage to her mother the decision was made to name the new phase of the business Mimi’s Party Palace. This endeavor would seek to widen the vast variety of services targeting event rentals, coordination, catering, and staffing. One of her main focuses was the realization that event coordination was critical to the success of any event, especially weddings. She shared the same passion for creating memories that would last a lifetime for her clients and realized that it started with a dedication to detail.
